At 14 years old, Frida Umuhoza went through one of the most horrific experiences imaginable. All of her family were killed in the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi people in Rwanda – and Frida herself was left for dead in a ditch.
She has written about her experiences in her book, “Chosen to Die, Destined to Live,” about her miraculous escape from the genocide.
