Emily Ward’s life is a story of Gracious Survival. She grew up in a poor family in Glasgow and was evacuated during the Second World War to rural Scotland.

Despite repeated bouts of tuberculosis in her young adult years, she survived and was able to fulfil her dream of becoming a nurse. Then, years later, another dream was filled when she became a missionary.

Emily is the author of the book, “Gracious Survival – The Lord’s Nurse: Glasgow, Sydney and Tekin.”
